Astronomy

Astronomy for adults and beginners

Since the beginning of our existence, humans have always been fascinated by the stars. On the one hand, because of their influence on the environment, the tides, agriculture and orientation at sea, for example. In the beginning, humans used them for a fundamental element, the measurement of time.  The Mesopotamian civilisation drew the first constellations and the Neo-Babylonians created the 12 signs of the zodiac, which were later used in astrology. Through their observations, the Egyptians were the first to divide a year into 365 days and the day into 24 hours. The Greeks followed research in mathematics by calculating the distance between the Earth and the Moon. The Arab civilisation also made great advances in the representation of the sky… And nowadays, astronomy is becoming an increasingly important part of scientific research.

Space is an integral part of our daily lives, our lives and our birth, because the Earth itself was created in stages by different elements of the universe. The curious spirit of the human being pushes us to go further and further, to venture out, to explore strange new worlds, to discover new lives, other civilizations, and to disregard the danger to advance towards the unknown…oops I digress! Astronomy is a beautiful and major science that I propose you to discover through this site in a playful way, bon voyage…
